Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a decent size for Venice, but the room I booked for a landmark view ended up being the smallest room in Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal with no view. However, the room had good WiFi signal even though it only had one single plug socket and lacked tea/coffee facilities.
The hotel has a charming Venetian atmosphere offering clean rooms but with a very small bathroom. It's in a great location close to the main attractions, yet quiet. On the downside, the reception experience was unwelcoming.
I had a wonderful stay at the Carlton Capri. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The service was impeccable, with the staff always going above and beyond to make our trip in Venice convenient. The location was perfect, away from the touristy areas but still close to restaurants. The dining experience offered a good variety of food to kickstart the day. A truly pleasant experience overall.
The hotel is located on a quiet street close to the Grand Canal and opposite the railway station, offering clean and comfortable rooms. The friendly and helpful staff make your stay enjoyable, though the breakfast options could be improved. Overall, it's a great value for money.
The hotel room was not spacious but not crowded for two people. Unfortunately, it lacked character and was positioned on the ground floor just behind the reception. The individual toiletries were a nice touch, but the room felt very hot and airless, and the decor needed some refreshing with peeling wallpaper and scruffy paintwork.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were small but cozy, and the bathroom was especially nice. The good breakfast with a view of the city was perfect for my needs. The service was top-notch, with staff that were so eager to please and extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great, close to the main bus terminal and a peaceful romantic area by the canals. The dining experience with the amazing view of the grand canal for breakfast was a fantastic way to start the day!
I was pleasantly surprised to find myself on the fourth floor, which we actually liked for the element of surprise! The rooms, though not very large, were sufficient even for a two-week stay. Unfortunately, they were very hot and airless with no satisfactory explanation from the staff. The decor definitely needed some love, with peeling wallpaper and scruffy paintwork.
My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, surprisingly spacious for Venice, and offered great value for money. Although there was only one plug socket and no tea/coffee facilities in the room, the WiFi signal was strong. The location was perfect, away from the noisy canal action, yet close to major sites. The service, especially from the ladies at breakfast, was polite and welcoming. The dining experience provided everything from scrambled eggs to muesli. Overall, a great choice to escape the hustle and bustle of Venice.
The hotel's location is fantastic, close to the train station and the Grand Canal, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were relatively small but cozy, with lovely city views from some. The service was exceptional, with helpful staff offering great assistance to explore the major sites. The dining experience was good but could have more variety. A great value for the price with convenient facilities nearby.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, although they weren't ready until 13:00. Being on the fourth floor was a nice surprise. The service was exceptional with friendly and helpful staff making my stay enjoyable. The location was quiet yet convenient, close to transportation options. The dining experience was good with plenty of options. Overall, a great value for money.
The hotel offered nice rooms but with small bathrooms. The attentive service and great location were standout features. The breakfast was average. The cleaner vacuuming early was a minor inconvenience.
The hotel room had a charming, old-fashioned Italian feel, clean and lovely but might not suit those looking for a modern room. Check-in was at 13:00, similar to a cozy guest room at my grandmother's home.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was cozy in traditional style with a big bathroom, offering a nice view of Venice from the balcony. However, it needed a makeover, and the early morning vacuuming was not appreciated. The location was excellent, just a short walk from both the bus and train stations, making it convenient for travelers. The dining experience was delightful with an amazing view of the grand canal, but waiting to be seated was a bit frustrating in the morning.
The hotel's location is superb, close to the main station but not on a busy street. The rooms were very hot and airless, with no tea or coffee facilities, and in need of refurbishment. The service was excellent, with Alessio and Dodie being very attentive and informative. The location is great, near major attractions but in a quiet area. The dining was average. Overall, some positives and negatives to consider.
The hotel offers lovely and clean rooms in an authentic Italian style, although not very spacious. The service provided is top-notch, making guests feel truly welcome. The location is excellent, close to transport links and the Grand Canal, while the dining experience is passable but may not justify the price. Overall, a charming stay with a few minor drawbacks.
